Scholarships:
The Western Pennsylvania Conference provides scholarship for undergraduate education for students who are members of its churches. Some scholarships are provided in the annual budget of the Conference while others have been provided by individual donors. All scholarships are awarded on criteria which include academic performance and potential, financial need, and past and future service to the United Methodist Church, the community, and the student’s school. There is no requirement for any particular program of study or career goal. Full-time enrollment is required. The Scholarship Committee determines the recipients must reapply each year. All funds are remitted directly to the educational institution. If a student does not attend the college or university specified on the application or withdraws during the year the award must be returned to the scholarship fund.
